Laurie Nason Fellenz is the executive director of Wisconsin School Music Association, Wisconsin Music Educators Association, and Wisconsin Foundation for School Music.
Prior to serving the associations and foundation, Laurie spent 28 years as a music educator and arts administrator for the Madison Metropolitan School District. She served on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Partners in Education National Advisory Committee (2014-2017) and worked with city and arts organization colleagues to support Madison being named the 12th US city in the "Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child" program (2013). She is the recipient of Madison Youth Choirs - Carrel Pray Music Educator of the Year Award (2017), Wisconsin Arts Education Association Distinguished Service Award (2013), Hall of Fame Award - Jerry (Tommy) Awards: Excellence in Musical Theater Program (2012), MMSD Team Distinguished Service Award (2004), and Laurie was recognized as a Top Notch Teacher by WISC-TV (2007).
