Harvey Halpaus, was a full time Wisconsin educator for 35 years. At Ellsworth he directed many highly successful concert bands, jazz combos and big bands at all levels. In 2004 he was named Wisconsin's outstanding jazz educator. He currently serves on the Shell Lake Arts Camp board and is an active adjudicator, clinician and big band leader.
