Ian Melrose is currently an 8th and 9th grade band teacher at Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School in Sun Prairie, WI. He previously taught band at Beloit Turner High School. Ian has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from UW-Madison, a master’s in Tuba Performance from University of Georgia, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UW-Madison. Ian is a new member of the WMEA Standards committee and is curious and passionate about how music education can help all students be seen, heard, and valued. Ian and his wife, Cindy, have three children (Maddie, Jersey, & Theo).
