                                                    Sarah Minette, PhD, is a music teacher at Minneapolis South High School and adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas. Her current teaching position at South includes guitar and sound production. Dr. Minette is the secondary general music chair of the Minnesota Music Educators Association and the Equity and Diversity Chair of the Minnesota Band Directors Association. Dr. Minette is a regular presenter at national and international conferences including National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE), the MayDay Colloqium, the Symposium for LGBTQ Studies and Music Education, and the Feminist Theory and Music Conferences. She also has published chapters in Women's Bands in America (Scarecrow Press) and Narratives and Reflections in Music Education: Listening to Voices Seldom Heard (Springer International Publishing).
