Since her graduation from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, Wisconsin native and percussionist Katherine Prihoda has taught in several public school districts in Wisconsin, including Lena and Medford. The first middle school band she directed had a total of 41 students, 12 of which were percussionists! Yikes! Currently, she is a middle school band director in Tomah, Wisconsin, where she teaches 6th Grade band, 7th Grade Band, Marching Band and Jazz Band. She is also the pit director for the Tomah High School Spring Musical. Katie is an active member of NAfME and NBA, and currently serves on the WMEA Advocacy Committee and the National Band Association Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors.
